Position Summary:

A Private Family Services Supervisor handles additional and/or more comprehensive back office services for one or more clients or client families including Bill Pay Services, family/charitable entity bookkeeping and reporting and preparing statements of financial information and reporting packages.  The Private Family Services Supervisor must demonstrate a commitment to extraordinary client service through timely, confidential responses, an exceptional work ethic and positive attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

  • Prepares financial reports including cash flow statements (summary and detail), budget, as part of a comprehensive reporting package, as well as gain/loss reports
  • Reviews invoices and pays for family members in a timely manner
  • Maintains and reconciles bank accounts

Tax Monitoring

  • Reports all tax related expenses and pays quarterly and annual payments
  • Reports all family gifts
  • Organizes all tax information to provide to CPA

Family Entity Reporting

  • Maintains records related to ownership and transactions
  • Prepares periodic comprehensive financial statements for each entity
  • Prepares cash flow analysis

Management

  • Supervise work of PFS staff members
  • Deliver PFS presentation to prospective clients and advisors
  • Serve as liaison for PFS group to all departments

 Development

  • Perform evaluations and coaching for associates
  • Personal professional development

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4-year undergraduate degree in accounting or related field
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • Computer proficiency in Excel, Quicken, Quick Books, Outlook and Word
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
