Position Summary:

A Senior Wealth Strategist serves as a technical resource and subject matter expert in comprehensive wealth planning matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Resource

  • Provides support, clarity and answers to technical issues/questions related to tax and estate planning
  • Meets/communicates regularly with outside advisors for technical estate planning discussions and review, with developed beneficial relationships with outside advisors
  • Writes technical articles related to estate and wealth transfer planning
  • Reviews complex client illustrations and planning techniques related to estate planning
  • Performs final review and analysis of sophisticated client estate documents

Deliverable preparation

  • Reviews estate flowcharts and prepares/reviews other complex estate planning technical deliverables
  • Provides subject matter expertise to client teams as needed and prepares appropriate client deliverables
  • Reviews, develops and maintians FOS technical materials and educational pieces related to estate and wealth planning
  • Reviews or creates and maintains estate planning related technical education summaries and materials

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • College degree with a professional designation of JD or CPA, with a CFP or desire to obtain same preferred
  • 10 years relevant experience in estate and tax planning
  • Must possess a foundation of technical and business expertise with prior experience in strategic wealth planning for high net worth individuals and multi-generational families
  • Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret/analyze estate planning documents, financial statements and tax returns with strong attention to detail
  • Must have excellent computer skills in Excel with ability to build Excel worksheets relative to complex planning strategies preferred
  • Must have demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills as frequent author and presenter of complex estate planning strategies
  • Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must have a professional demeanor with the utmost respect for confidential matters
