Position Summary:

A Trader processes and confirms all in-house trading functions involving various custodians used by our clients.  Includes follow-through for accurate execution across multiple trading platforms and post trade reconciliation and review.  The Trader must demonstrate a commitment to extraordinary client service through timely, confidential responses, an exceptional work ethic and positive attitude.

Duties and Responsibiliities:

Trading

  • Processes all in-house trading and automated trading through Tamarac products
  • Works with Pershing, Fidelity and Schwab through electronic file upload, manual entry or telephone trade transactions
  • Executes online trading at multiple custodians

Trading follow-through

  • Ensures immediate and next-day follow through for proper trade execution
  • Maintains all trade-related records, such as daily trade blotters, firm trade tickets and confirmations

Operational Assistance

  • Internal trade audits and review by Compliance team
  • Writing and reviewing policies and procedures
  • Review share class exchanges, tax loss harvesting, fund termination and addition to investment platform 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 3 years experience in the trading department of a NASD-regulated or SEC firm
  • Series 7 and 66 license preferred
  • Knowledge of computer trading systems and order management systems
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
